Get government out of healthcare. No medicare, no regulation of prices and just allow the insurance companies to charge you whatever they want 2 thousand dollar premium a month with a 20 thousand dollar deductible for a single healthy twenty-one year old adult, and much more if you are older or married with children.

And no more government anti-trust regulations, so the insurance companies can buy each other up until there is only one monopoly left that will charge you even more than that. What do you know, private single-payer!

“There aint no such thing as a free lunch” (TANSTAAFL)

Anything "free" costs twice as much, and woe to the person stuck with the bill.

Frankly, there is no "right to healthcare" as long as government has criminalized the unlicensed trade and practice of medicine.

Wrong. Healthcare costs at least twice as much in the privatized US then it does in single-payer countries. The exact same prescription drugs cost two to ten times as much in the US then in Canada or Mexico.

How do you explain that? Or can you? Please provide facts not mindless slogans and hyperbole.

Internal Memo Confirms Big Giveaways In White House Deal With Big Pharma |Huffington Post
It says the White House agreed to oppose any congressional efforts to use the government’s leverage to bargain for lower drug prices or import drugs from Canada — and also agreed not to pursue Medicare rebates or shift some drugs from Medicare Part B to Medicare Part D, which would cost Big Pharma billions in reduced reimbursements.

NY Times: Evidence White House Colluded with Big Pharma to Push Obamacare
A new trove of emails shows President Barack Obama’s White House agreed to help drug companies block a proposal to bring down medicine prices so they would back Obama’s healthcare plan.

House Republicans obtained the three-year-old correspondence between the Obama administration and representatives of the drug industry and released more of them to the public on Friday, The New York Times reported.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many people are clueless about our Laws and how they became our Laws.
The ACA is imploding - that's just the facts. Insurance companies are pulling out of States BECAUSE they are not going to get the Bailouts they were promised - those Bailouts were never funded. Drug prices are high in the USA BECAUSE TeamObama sold us out to give Big Pharma BIG Profits and to get their endorsements.

the GOP and Trumpers still don't know that great public healthcare that covers 100% of the population is actually cheaper

The stats are there for all to see, EU ranges from 3k - 6k while the USA is over 9k.... and there are lots of good systems in the EU.

That amounts to reckless regard for their constituents.

Oh, it is. They aren't bothering to even talk to the ones who wanted to try to tell them keep and fix the ACA and not vote to take away health care - not just for people on exchange plans, but some of the new bill will impact people on employer based group coverage as well.

But for the voters who are still demanding they live up to their promises, this will now be a way to say they did something, even if the something would have devastating consequences should it manage to get through the Senate and turn into law.
