To the average American, politics isn't a deal-breaker. We here on the politics forum might take it a little more seriously. So I'm wondering if you would, hypothetically, be against dating someone with a political ideology that directly opposes yours.

Yes. And I have done so. Just as long as she's not a complete loony bin, we can make it work.

I would not. I think couples need to share basic values.

My political opposite would be a SJW and I don't think I could tolerate dating a SJW.

I would have years ago, but my political opposite in these times would be such a knuckle-dragging neanderthal that it simply would not work.

Probably so. My wife and i have been married for 28 years and i don't think we've spent more than 30 minutes in total discussing politics. I'm not really interested in who she votes for and she's equally disinterested in my politics. I'm sure that she's not a conservative, but i don't really care one way or another.

There is no way that I will have an LTR with anti zionist. One night thing maybe. But LTR, no way.

Yes absolutely. I admire and appreciate the artistic and humanitarian sensitivities of liberal women. Plus those peasant blouses and gauze skirts kinda give me a bump.

The point is moot however because I've been married for 27 years and "I'm not going anywhere".
