Not too good for Rexnord employees in Indiana. I guess Pence didn't have the clout to offer tax cuts to Rexnord like he did with Carrier.

Pretty much the same, but this place has been rather popular since the recession.

This isn't an industrial/factory sort of mecca, though. And it won't be. Land costs too much where I live for all that.

Rural areas further out away from me are broke... same as usual.

Gas prices have risen considerably, despite the fantasy described in one of the OP's other threads.

It's hard to say what effect Trump has had so far. I mean, all he has done is eliminated some regulations, and his tough talk on immigration has slowed illegal immigration. Trump might have improved some people's perspective outlooks for tax cuts and other things for the future.

Let's be real here, Trump has not really signed much of anything into law which directly affects an improvement on the economy. So far it's mostly just people's attitudes, and hopes for a brighter and more productive tomorrow.

...and I don't see how Trump has done anything to affect oil and gas prices.

But to be honest. This question will be better asked a year or so after tax reform has passed.
Same here. The guy has been in office 109 days (?) so to expect life changing results and for the bashers to complain "he's doing nothing" is quite premature.

There are over 500k people with a newly minted job who are happier though. If he can pass a decent HC replacement and get his tax plan through the economic engine will fire up and we'll all be happier.

As a self employed service and retail business I rely on people and businesses having money to spend on things other than bills. I rely on the holidays for 50-60% of my full year sales... I'm hoping for a better year than the last 2-3 which were terrible.

He EO'd away a lot of permitting regulations, made it easier to drill in arctic waters, and approved the XL pipeline.

Jobs started moving in to this area a couple of years ago and are continuing. Housing has been really good; there is building going on everywhere. So no real change since Trump became President.
