No, no Democrats are not hypocritical on this, Democrats are consistent.
Shumer and many other Democrats called for Comey to be fired as he appeared to be a Trump pawn, but that was before Trump fired him proving that Comey wasn't a Trump pawn and therefore taking away the reason Democrats wanted him fired in the first place.
Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that this firing is unjust and that the Democrats have been consistent.
Am I the only person who finds it even stranger than strange that Trump attempted to deflect the blame on Comey's firing by saying he was doing it on the advice of Jeff Sessions? After all, Sessions had recused himself from the whole Russia investigation, thus wasn't in a position to advise Trump about anything related to it.
He has to blame someone, anyone as it is never him unless he gets praised.
I think a little nuance like recusal is beyond Trump's grasp. He's stepped on his own damn story several times in the past two days, trampling it quite to death. Not that the original story ever made any sense...

Believe you me, if the FBI could 'indict' American citizens, Mr. J. Edgar Hoover would have had a field day.
