Do you think that is only liberals? Did you not notice the white supremacists at Trump rallies?

We've seen it on college campuses such as Middlebury but even Congressman
are being threatened at constituent town halls. Republicans aren't allowed to
speak at college commencements.

I agree this is not a good thing. But we need to remember that some of Trump's cabinet were installed to take apart the departments they lead. In addition, some, like DeVos, are totally unprepared and ignorant of their own departments. It isn't as though this is the first time that unqualified people have been appointed, but it is just the number and the depth that is shocking. Students see the education system that has brought them to graduation in danger of being destroyed.

Yet, we never read anything about moderates or conservatives going crazy because
someone they disagree with voices an opinion.

I agree that is not a mature way to react to disagreement. We have seen this more on college campuses, however, because young people tend to be more liberal. Do you remember the town hall meetings when Obamacare was new?.....

If you visit the retirement forum here, you'll see how many times liberal/progressives
will want to know what parts of the country match their views. Heaven forbid they
should move next door to a conservative Christian.

Boy, you are not reading widely. Look at relocation forums to conservative states. I can't tell you how many times I have read forum entries from people who want to move to get away from "the libs." They are nasty about it, too. They are looking for neighborhoods that are just like them. I think that the whole country is getting less tolerant and more divided. We are all self segregating. To paint this as just being done by liberals is inaccurate.

I've never read a moderate or conservative ask about something similar.

See above. Moderates are less likely to do this. But both liberals and conservatives are doing the same thing.

The left weren't always so deranged and violent.

I would say the same about the conservatives. Have you seen some of the videos out there of conservatives spewing hatred at minorities? They have permission to do that now - from their president! Did you not notice how many times Obama was hung in effigy? How about burning black churches? There is plenty of blame to go around, on all sides. If you think it is one sided, it is because you aren't taking an honest look.

What the heck happened?
Again, we are becoming more and more divided as a nation. Division has been around forever in the US, but the vitriol we are seeing, on all sides, is extreme. It takes BOTH SIDES to start talking and acknowledging that the other side is valid in order to decrease this sort of stuff. People don't respect others' opinions, and that is all the way around. In addition, many people do not see extremism and destruction being committed on their own side. They just overlook it. Its a complicated sociological topic that could take up books. I think we all should be studying the reasons why others have differing view points, not just condemning them and name calling.

They've always had that violent hateful feeling in their midst going back to Communism and the Nationalist Socialists and till today's American liberals, there has always a significant hatred of anyone that disagrees with the lies they are selling.

You're kidding, right?

You're not aware of the Republican mobs chanting "String her up!"? Overall, Republican rhetoric is far more violent.

That's a half-truth and this a big fat lie.

They chant Lock Her Up!

Not string her up.

Big difference.

Carry on.

Oh, and another big fat lie, mobs. They are not mobs. They are President Trump Voters and good Americans, just like I.

Oh, and rhetoric, that's a lie too, although you just see it as such. I give you a pass on that one due to the manufactured news you've been following for so many years.

While I commend the entirety of your post, this one jumped out at me.

The minions on the left like to feel warm and fuzzy about how they fight for the working man, while their elected officials only pay lip service to the notion while doing the polar opposite in reality. We can rightfully call the Democrats the "Party of the Rich" now. HRC proved that an undeniable fact.

Over the last decade the wealth gap increased more than any other decade prior. Proof that intentions mean nothing if it's nothing more than just words.

Since I'm big on equality I need to include the hypocrisy on the right as well.

The conservative minions espouse small government, less intrusion, less taxes, and protecting the Bill of Rights and Constitution. Yet the cronies they elect have done the polar opposite. We should never forget who gave us the horrible, rights crushing, Constitution breaking NDAA and Patriot Act. These are arguable the most dangerous laws to our country in decades.

They also push for the continuance of the failed war on drugs, which is ruining the lives of otherwise good citizens by the hundreds of thousands and filling the bank accounts of the enforcers.

Is that seriously the only way you see people? Have you no idea at all that you are dealing with individual human beings here?

That poster wounds like a very nice person, someone I would be happy to know, and you reduce her entire identity to dollars and cents?

That is disgusting.

LOL... did I say that? Of course I'd have to explain it to you.... I'm talking about financially. So... which one do you fit into?

2. The high-earners who pay most of the taxes (the first class),

They've been all over the news for a while. Even President Trump talked about the rise in violence in Jewish communities, so I don't know why you are questioning me. There have also been numerous links posted on this forum. Just using Google, there are too many to post. Here are just a few.
