Why would any school celebrate mother's day. It's a made up holiday by hallmark

I still (20 years later) have some of the crafts my children made me in school. They were so excited to present them to me and get a love hug back. Oh the memories ...

Not made up by hallmark. Capitalized on by hallmark ...

My kids didn't need this so called holiday to make me feel special. They made me things all the time. Mother's day is for retailers now and how much money they can make from it.

There was another thread on this I believe... but the real reason it was not celebrated this year was this (from the article)
“Instead, there has been a recent trauma involving a student and its parents.”
