Same here in Texas, Cons are known haters of education for the masses, in their world Thinking, Knowledge, and Science are all bad and should be abolished, as you can see it seems to have worked with a segment of the population, hence Trump.

Money to keep our children safe? Yes, priorities are everything, got to build another toll road instead. That is until some student gets ahold of the teachers gun, not sure am comfortable with the idea entirely.

The Kansas constitution requires a certain spending amount too, but Brownback is fighting it. He even tried to remove the judges who told him it was illegal to cut funding.

Oklahoma has cut teacher's salaries so much that they are considering letting people without a degree teach. Those with a degree can find better paying jobs. You can already teach with an associate degree in Missouri if the school can't find anyone else.

You know that's not true. The best school districts in TX are in Conservative cities and the worst are in Democrat. Must be Democrats don't put emphasis on education for their kids.

In many, mostly Konservative, places FAITH is far more important then KNOWLEGE. Also THINKING is so dangerous to the established elite that it must never be taught because it undermines FAITH.

Fortunately I do not live in such a place but unfortunately I have to share a country with them.

As far as guns in schools where and when I went to HS students brought their deer rifles into school instead of storing them in their cars. I did not hunt deer so I did not bring a gun to school.

Maybe mandating the Principal and Vice Principals should be held responsible for providing physical protection for the students as part of their job. That would avoid having to hire guards or arming teachers. counting on schools being sacred no violence means nothing to insane assailants. Somebody has to be in the building to kill these people before they shoot students.

That must mean the kid is fighting the teacher for his gun then right if it is concealed on the teacher? And the kids wouldn't know which teachers are armed

You know what has killed many school districts like Irving is the huge serge of Illegal kids that come with no education and only speaking spanish. I have trouble blaming the school districts. Most do very well with the limits placed on them.
