McCarthy only likes guns being carried around by people protecting him. Everyone else can shove it. Of course this is at the same time the state of California is trying to remove the madatpry sentence of using a gun in the commission of a felony.
They are literally making it harder for honest people to protect themselves and easier for criminals.

That is disgraceful. This is one of the few gun laws that I support out of California. Why try to remove mandatory minimums for such a crime? I have my suspicions why (and they aren't pretty), but will not voice them in the forum now.
Teachers are there to teach...not be armed. My daughter teaches kindergarten. There is no way she would want to carry a gun.
Your daughter may not (and I dare say that most teachers wouldn't want to carry a gun, just like most Americans don't carry guns, even most in those states where its fairly easy to do so). But some would. And the some that would might mean the difference between living and dying in the event of a school shooting by a deranged student or worse.
