lmao....Just can't help yourselves can you. Try MYOB sometimes, it will reduce the stress and you will age better.
This is where y'all are confused. We aren't stressed about it -- just made a passing comment that a dad playing golf on mother's day is not acceptable tradition. It just isn't.
I was a step mom for many years before I became a biological mom as well. It was a million times harder. Good Stepmoms do all of the work and still don't measure up to the biomom. Even one in my case who abandoned her kids.
I agree there. You are expected to be the mom without having the authority of a mom.
I think moms are great, biological or otherwise. The times I have to act like a mom while my wife is away makes me realize how hard it is.
But I also realize how some of these days are not just days people have genuinely embraced for the honoree's sake. Mostly it is corporate America wanting us to part with our money on jacked up overpriced items on that day.
The worst is Valentine's day. Roses jump from $12-15 a dozen to $50 or more. My wife and I agreed that roses are best bought the day after Valentine's day at 1/3 the price and I give a token gift on Valentine's day. Sometimes it is just me doing the cooking for lunch and dinner to give her a day of relaxation.
The Left trying to hold the high ground on morality and family values is the real joke here. Remember, these are the people who want to teach your 3rd graders what fisting and anal sex is. They are also the ones who can't decide if they are male, female or somewhere in between. They are also the group that wants to do away with stuff like Mother's Day due to inclusiveness. Don't let these threads fool you.
You had to get desperate to deflect from Trump's total lack of respect for his wife and mother of his child.
It's interesting that, as a kid, I recall lots of protesters (leftist protesters) practically worshiping Russia (then the USSR). What happened? How did the love affair go so sour? Was it because Russia dropped Leninist/Stalinist communism and tried to be a bit more freedom-oriented?
Part of a Dad's job is to teach, show by example, and pass on that tradition to his kids. Help young Barron do it right - or is that the maid's job?
oh the bellman's job -- maybe they have a butler? hmmm
