Exactly. But in typical Trump style, he wants to blame everyone else for his own misdeeds. The only way a shake up will truly accomplish something is if Trump is the one who gets the boot. It reminds me of the old saying regarding geographical cures: "They don't always work because wherever you go, there you are."

Smart, sensible, serious people would not accept a job.

This shift is sinking. Why go down with it?

If I were to speculate on what has happened, my guess would be that Trump has been financed using Russian sources for a lengthy period of time and knows if it comes out, the cards come falling down. If true, it would explain his fury about Comey and everything else. Changing his staff is just a way to change the subject.
American banks quit funding Trump after the casino debacle. Since then, his financial backers have been Russian financiers and Deutsch Bank which has paid fines for laundering money for Russian oligarchs.

Trump's chummy photo with the Russian diplomats tells the story.

If he wants loyal staff, perhaps he should be interviewing Russians.

What are peoples thoughts?

I for one think it might help long term. Seriously anyone who told him there would be no blowback from firing Comey needs to go. That was some particularly bad advice.

The Muslim ban? Also bad advice. Especially in its execution.

Bannon? Causes WAY too much outright fear and hatred. The guy has desires that are not in the best interests of Trump, and he has been actively engaging in some internal politics via outside resources.

The one person I feel should stay might be Spicer oddly enough. The guy is doing the best with what he is given, and thats the problem. Trump is not giving him what he needs, and is expecting him to dance around and lie, then Trump undercuts him. Until that dynamic changes, NO ONE can succeed in that job. Spicers failures are directly attributable to trump. If Trump can't get the right dynamic with Spicer, then let him go...but it wasn't his fault.

Stop having a conflict driven staff. Its leaking everything bad, and sabotaging him for their own agendas. Yes its his fault and responsibility, but this won't change with big changes.

Short term...more chaos as those let go leak EVERYTHING. But thats happening anyways. Long term? Maybe get a team that can function. Get some people that will tell you when you are wrong, but are focused on making you succeed, and once a decision is made, they may disagree...but they commit to its executions while reserving the right later to say "I told you so" in private.
Most likely this is Fake News and no changes will be made anytime soon.

I think it is great he is replacing staff as he feels necessary. I thinking unlike someone like Clinton, he isn't beholding enough to anyone (they can't blackmail him if he fires them). All good! Trump continues to do an awesome job and the resistance continues to weaken with threads like this!

He twice fired his campaign manager between the nomination and election day. End result he won. The left can keep underestimating him and calling him names. At the moment you have no power and just a flailing Russian investigation to bank your hopes on. What happens when that turns out to be another dead end?

While we all sit here and talk about what Trump does....

Putin and his buddies are drinking Vodka and laughing at the American news every single day. It was a YUGE victory for Russia when Trump won the presidency.

Trump and Russia want only the worst for America, so doing any and everything they could to get Trump elected was priority 1 for them.

I bet that leak about Trump firing staffers came from Trump, likely through a trusted surrogate.

There was a leak a few weeks ago that mentioned Trump was considering getting rid of Bannon. Likely that leak originated from Trump as well.

He's messing with his staff through the media. And they leak stuff about him through the media. He's driving his staff insane and they are driving him more insane.
