Alas, it was simply a drunken man whom had stolen a car and was fleeing police, killing 4 and injury 20+. Sentence to life in prison.

It seems like DWI penalties and rehabilitation in all states simply don't work. Too many times the DWI addict continues until something fatal happens. I am sure it differs on location and circumstances, but many times DWI only needs to community service or a relatively small penalty.

Is anyone in power talking about this?

Twitter: NYPD has just confirmed it was a DWI/DUI situation. 26 year-old from the Bronx. Not terrorism.

"Likely" is the keyword. The NYPD have not confirmed anything.

NYPD says crash in Times Square was likely DWI, not terrorism.

Its funny all the cop sites have this info. The media is saying nothing because they want the ratings. Not a terrorist event. A drunk POS who jumped a curb and ran down citizens.

It was a NY politico source (one of my college roommates is a NYC journalist) but it was telling that not a single source or eyewitness account made any reference to terrorism.

A ton.

I hear NYC, people mowed down by a car I think terrorism. I didn't call it terrorism and I actually said we should reserve discussion on it until more information came out.

I'd say the same thing if someone went on a shooting rampage or knifed random people or if a plane went down.

Yes, but my point with that list was they were terror attacks so its not out of the realm of possibility to think a similar incident might be another attack while understanding information will inform the situation.
