Even if Trump does something that results in an offense which allows for a prison sentence, it is nearly certain that Pence would issue a presidential pardon so everyone would be deprived of the opportunity to chant "lock him up".

Presidents generally don't go to prison.

He's also rich...when is the last time you saw a rich person sitting in prison?

Three names, just for starters: Bernard Madoff, Leona Helmsley, Martha Stewart

When the outrage is great enough and wide enough, anything is possible.

But in this case, the outrage is confined to an impressionable, but very vocal minority.

" If Trump is found guilty of a high crime where would he be imprisoned? "

He will not be tried as president. If it went that far he would be removed from office and then tried.

However, Pence would most assuredly pardon him before any public trial. Then back to Mar A Lago! Soooo-long suckers !!

He will be in a prison of his own making, having further destroyed his image. Prior to this, there had not been the same degree of exposure of his personality traits, just living behind a portrayal of a "big time mogul", big 'ol life and money, the general public unaware of who he really was ...his fans believing, "Wow, he must have the secrets to success". 🙄

This is what I have envisioned, that he will ultimately get his, one way or the other.

Martha Stewart? Bernie Madoff?

There's a "country club" federal "prison" near me where the likes of such celebrity scofflaws serve their time. If you drove past it, you'd think it was a small college, as it has attractive red brick buildings and nicely landscaped grounds. There is no wall, much less barbed wire. Surveillance? Probably, but it's not obvious.

Of course, those convicted of violent crimes never serve their time in such places. But for white-collar crime - I am sure their days of incarceration do not pass too unpleasantly.

However - security would be too lax for Trump in such a place. Not for him - but for those on the outside trying to get to him. At him, rather.

He'll never serve a day. At least, not officially. Any prison will be in his own mind.

It will not happen. At best, he will be impeached or resign, then he will be pardoned and spend the rest of his life complaining that it was a conspiracy set in motion by Obama and Hillary.
