What is the limit? Lets leave left and right out of this conversation.

How many times before there are "certain anonymous sources" do you just stop caring?

Will everyone answer honest?

I ignore anonymous sources even if they tell me what I want to hear.

You realize, of course, that anonymous sources have been a part of real, bonafide journalism for a long time, right? It's often times the only way we would ever know a lot of information that, really, we should know. Without them, Richard Nixon may have served out his second term. And who knows what would have happened then?

Somewhat of a point, but do you really think we have the same reporting integrity back then as we have now?

Harvard study shows 80% of media coverage during the first 100 days was negative.

However, according to anonymous sources....

This is how journalism works. Depending on how deep this corruption goes, if the sources weren't anonymous, whoever it was could end up dead or missing.

Journalists the world over have been killed to protect their sources. Anonymous sources are integral to a free press and free society as they allow individuals to communicate without fear of retribution. Too many people are short sighted on this topic. Condemn them now; praise them later when the opposing party is in power. Anonymous sources may at times be wrong, but take them away, you take away the free press.
