In March, Trump asked Dan Coats, the Director of National Intellignce and Adm. Mike Rogers, Director of the NSA to push back against the FBI investigation into possible collusion.

Both refused.

Quote:
Coats and Rogers refused to comply with the requests, which they both deemed to be inappropriate, according to two current and two former officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private communications with the president.
Quote:
Trump’s conversation with Rogers was documented contemporaneously in an internal memo written by a senior NSA official, according to the officials. It is unclear if a similar memo was prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to document Trump’s conversation with Coats. Officials said such memos could be made available to both the special counsel now overseeing the Russia investigation and congressional investigators, who might explore whether Trump sought to impede the FBI’s work.

Gee, memos - the new version of "tapes" - wonder if anyone's secretary can 'accidentally' erase them? Guess we shall find out if they exist once the special investigator gets done.

The case for impeachment builds.

"...According to two current and former intelligence officials, Trump asked DNI Dan Coats and NSA director Adm. Michael Rogers separately to publicly deny collusion after former FBI director James Comey revealed the existence of the FBI's Russia inquiry during a March 20 testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. Both Coats and Rogers denied the request, because they believed it was inappropriate, the officials said..."

"Can we ask him to shut down the investigation? Are you able to assist in this matter?" a White House official asked, according to one intelligence official...

The "entire landscape of Trump's behavior" is what would prompt an obstruction of justice charge, said Jens David Ohlin, an associate dean at Cornell Law School and an expert on criminal law. That includes "telling Comey to back off on the Flynn investigation, firing him when he wouldn’t, and then admitting on national television that he dismissed Comey because of the Russia investigation." ...

You didn't post this " "according to current and former officials."

What are their names?

This IS the Wash Post who makes a LOT of accusations with NO names to back kt up, then later does a retraction in section D which no one sees.

I find all these attacks very hard to believe. Trump was always in this cut throat world and he is not naive. He knows enough to know that they would stab him in the back in a NY minute.

How many times does the media have to make a fool out of its followers before they get it, "according to two current and two former officials" as someone else stated. They have duped these followers so many times, remember, Hillary Clinton was to win the presidency.

I think at this point, we know those "leaks" are only in liberal heads and otherwise not leaks but FAKE news to feed the minions that follow such nonsense! Seriously, an audience like that is just a hoot!
