It wasn't a big attack-- we should just keep on the same.

Like the 29% Muslim no-go zone my cousin lives in...
OR lets go to the most dangerous "Muslim" hood in London, Tower Hamlets (One of the boroughs of London but it is only 7.6 square miles big, which is really an ethnic neighborhood that is plurality Bangladeshi at 35% but the next biggest group is white British at 30%, Why are all the no-go zones 30-40%+ white??? Maybe because you guys have been on Breitbart too much and those zones don't really exist.

I'm not sure what the OPs point is, but my takeaway is that when a terrorist attack happens, the media just uses it to get views. And for the stupid people here, I don't just mean the liberal media. I mean the media as a collective entity. Terrorism is exciting; it gets views, clicks, or whatever measure the media outlet has for making money. It's a ploy. And it's frankly almost more disgusting that the act of terrorism itself.

In hindsight no but maybe it did deter the development of major subversion. When the people enclaved themselves and largely avoided using English what are people to think?

Yep, candle lit vigils are a bit insipid and overdone. They change nothing, don't make the dead any more valued and are of no benefit to the survivors. In the case of Manchester a local folk poet recited a gutsy ode to the city - far more effective than a falling tear and dripping wax.
As for old fashioned stoicism - it's the way to go.

This thread piqued my interest..and I've put a thread up on the Great Debates forum that I think some of you might have some input to give:

What Constitutes a 'Win' in the War on Terror and How Do We Get There?

It's crazy how far apart these white lines on the highway are.
