A comparison of Trump interviews from decades past to recent ones show marked difference. He was more eloquent decades ago, using words that are no longer in his vocabulary. Is the change a tactical one, designed to strike a chord with a more blue-collar audience, or a symptom of something more troubling?

Quote:
The experts noted clear changes from Trump’s unscripted answers 30 years ago to those in 2017, in some cases stark enough to raise questions about his brain health. They noted, however, that the same sort of linguistic decline can also reflect stress, frustration, anger, or just plain fatigue.
Quote:
The change in linguistic facility could be strategic; maybe Trump thinks his supporters like to hear him speak simply and with more passion than proper syntax. “He may be using it as a strategy to appeal to certain types of people,” said Michaelis. But linguistic decline is also obvious in two interviews with David Letterman, in 1988 and 2013, presumably with much the same kind of audience. In the first, Trump threw around words such as “aesthetically” and “precarious,” and used long, complex sentences. In the second, he used simpler speech patterns, few polysyllabic words, and noticeably more fillers such as “uh” and “I mean."

Here it comes folks. The Left knows they have lied about everything possible to try and get Trump out of office because HRC lost, now they are about to turn to the "incompetent" angle, which is just another lie in a long line of them.

OMG, the number one (only, if you want to be realistic) campaign issue Trump had was "anyone but Hillary", and after the lies about Benghazi, the second most perpetrated lie was about her declining health.

And you're going to sit there, presumably with a strait face, and type that rubbish? Wowser! It might have some truth, but it's page 1 out of the ABH Playbook.

Aging. Good days vs bad days. Take a look at Palin as well, same thing. A decade ago she gave some really good speeches. Today? Its like someone put her brain in a blender.

Also some of Trumps speeches during his overseas trip have been better then some I have seen here. Pelosi as well is creating good ones, and then bad ones.

I think in addition to a minimum age for presidents we need a maximum. ALL of our choices this last time were older folks, and it means that we're seeing a lot of decline in them.

I know very few on the left who liked Clinton at all, or who wanted her on the ticket.

What has "the left" lied about? Your assertion is that they "lied about everything?"

If that's the case it should be easy for you to provide plentiful examples, right?

In the meantime, if you'd like, I'd be happy to provide plentiful examples of trump's lying BS.

I don't think age has anything to do with it, really.

I believe it is a symptom and an indicator of the "twitter" mentality that pervades our social structure now. Everyone talks in soundbites of 140 characters or less. Long, drawn out, even intelligent responses are not headline and attention grabbers.

IMO his articulation is a representative of the times.

Not one single person mentioned the 25th Amendment, which the Left has been bringing up lately and this thread and the article in the OP is trying to push that. People were ONLY mentioning that she might not be able to make it through her presidency due to her failing health and we'd end up with that nut she ran with. Same thing you nuts said about McCain.
