A good variety of authentic ethnic restaurants is the only tangible benefit of diversity most cities can point to. So I guess it makes sense for those who care about the narrative to come down hard on white people who are successful in that area.

Make sure you check the background of the owner of the Mexican restaurant you go to. Don't want you to find out it is owned by a Guatemalan and be vilified.
Of course, this is ignorance disguised as progressivism. This has been going on for generations. What we think of as "pizza" may have its roots in Italian cuisine, but it's an American creation. That's innovation, not appropriation, and guess what? They serve it in Italy too now.
