A number of them could improve their own lives by not having kids that they can't afford. Also, some of them could improve their lives by not smoking.

No. He means those who receive more tax dollars than they give. Aka, welfare collectors.

Never underestimate the "morality" of predators and parasites who embrace the law of the jungle.
Remember, the working stiffs and tax payers are "suckers."
They deserve to be fleeced.

I think the govt. services tax might be for the internet backbone.
Maybe you are right about it being the state mandating it, but enough people in other states have said they have the same thing to make me doubt it.

As to your assertion about anyone can get a free phone, the advertisements I hear state if your qualify, which is typically referring to low income criteria. Regardless, if the justification is for emergencies, then make it dial only 911 and the local non-emergency number of the police departments.

As to cable TV, I doubt that is a state thing, but will contact Comcast to confirm. They told me straight out that it is mandated and funds lower income people with service.
Why anyone should feel entitled to cable is beyond me, but then again, I am not a liberal kook.

Oh yes they do. And the ISP doesn't recover all of the lost revenue either.

This is just one example. ISPs also offer almost free digital phone.

Nowadays poor means a smart phone and cable TV.
Interesting

Sounds like we had more common sense and the right motivation to get people to work, to change their station in life.
Now days you have people who genuinely feel entitled to receive all sorts of "free" goodies on the backs of others.
Like these great contributors of society;

Note the smartphone she has.

Watch the entire video if you like, but key in around 2:20 to see the entitlement attitude this woman has saying "someone needs to pay for all her children, and someone needs to be held accountable".

You cannot even make this stuff up because it is so absurd. Yet you know her children will be raised with the same attitude, and most if not all will be burdens on society. The cycle of dependency needs to be broken before it breaks our countries spirit for good.
