The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecasts more hurricanes this coming season in the Atlantic and a couple of very large ones. The administrators of NOAA should be aware that this is not the kind of information that will further their standing in Trump World. Will Trump's response be to try to cut their funding, to eliminate such pesky reminders of Global Warming?

He's already proposed making heavy cuts in their programs and those of other agencies involved in environmental and natural-disaster research.

Why is NOAA's hurricane prediction controversial... oh, wait, I see it now. They won't be able to in the future, since they won't have the budget to do the research. Bummer. But, hey, the only people who live on the gulf & atlantic coasts are those pesky liberals, so nobody should care, right?

They're bound to be right one of these times. They been predicting this since 2005.

The Fundamental characteristic of the Trumpets is they will suppress anything that interferes with FAITH. They believe that all science is fake and that whatever their Savior says is revealed TRUTH.

They're wrong about 70% of the time. Even when they change the wording to be vague and almost meaningless, they still get it wrong.

NOAA hurricane outlook indicates an above-normal
Atlantic season, 2011.

NOAA predicts active 2013 Atlantic hurricane season, 2013.

Years ago Al Gore made the same prediction about increased hurricanes.

He was monumentally wrong.

I wonder if the Trump Administration will cough up the money needed to rebuild the Jersey shore if there is a repeat of Hurricane Sandy. Or would He withhold funds to punish Gov. Christy for his flagging support of Trump's One Right Way.

They have called for above normal seasons in the past that turned out to be below normal. It is an educated guess. They do not know for sure what it is going to be.

No, they don't.

I voted for Trump and I'm trained in Physics and work as a software engineer.

Your view of Trump supporters can best be described as Cartoonish.

Yaaaawn. They've been claiming that since 2005 & we've had less hurricane activity, not more. Since it's been at such a low level for the past 12 years, it's a safe bet that eventually we'll have a season that is the "hardest in many years".
