I find it quite ammusing that a country like Greece has been paying the 2% and their economy has been terrible for years. YEARS! If Greece can pay the 2% the rest of the world should as well.
Well it's easy to spend money that isn't theirs to begin with. Borrowing money from countries like Germany, Sweden etc, you know the countries who don't siesta half the day, to spend on their military and almost openly corrupt politicians is a great fiscal policy, yeah...
Also practically supporting tax-evasion sin't doing them any favors...
It amazes me that despite the many times its been explained to them that so many people on this thread and others still don't understand Nato funding or why US bases are still in some countries in Europe. Its no surprise that Trump was elected when so many voters can't comprehend facts.
The system that was devised out of the rubble of WWII and that protected the peace and gave us prosperity for over 70years is now in jeopardy because of a corrupt, incompetent, unintelligent small man. Ignorance rules the day in the USA today. The ramifications of Trump's action will be felt long after he is out of office and relegated to the ranks of history's worst leaders.

The crazies don't seem to be able to grasp why we need things like air bases in Europe. They've actually convinced themselves that we're over there defending Germany or wherever, as opposed to using Europe as a base of operations for our own military adventures in the Middle East and northern Africa.

I think it means Germany would like to continue leeching off of America in terms "mutual" defense, but would like to paint a "fake news" picture of the situation.
