Here we go again. Another day, another pastor robbing people of their hard earned money.
Sadly, it's a black church where the people surely can't afford this kind of financial drubbing. They'll never bounce back. But of course, he says that he'll do his best to pay restitution.

These "pastors", black or white, are a dime a dozen. People fall for it because they give them hope. It makes me sick. Turn on the TV to random channels in the middle of the night and you'll see these predators asking for $$$ for "Boaz anointings", selling "holy waters", etc...on and on.

Joel Osteen has become disgustingly wealthy using those exact same methods. 'Man of God,' my azz.
Our church has a board. ALL churches should have a board. Money is handled thru the board. That eliminates the vast majority of this kind of ... stuff.

IMO people in these types of positions should be punished more harsh due to the trust level they get just because of their job title and when they abuse that trust there should be a punishment accordingly.
Religion and govt., two institutions people put blind faith into for solving their everyday problems. Both are full of charlatans, but at least you can avoid the preachers, politicians not so much.
Board or no board there is always a thief of some kind- bad people join churches BUT- only about 5% become true believers and followers of the faith-
