No, he went into Afghanistan first

How so? WHAT was happening that benefited America?

No, we have to defend ourselves, nothing else. The ME is a cesspool and has been since before the US was formed. If they can't learn to live together let them die together, not our problem.

Taking Saddam Hussein out gave rise to ISIS. And WHAT is the point of leaving more troops in a war zone we don't belong in? Just HOW does that change the deaths that already occurred? HOW does it give them any more purpose?

These people are brainwashed idiots who are violent by nature.

It is pointless to stay there. Bring our troops home.

Bring them ALL home!

It takes an overweight, mountain dew guzzling, video gaming American teen 9 weeks to become a well trained infantry soldier in our United States Army.

And yet, after 16 YEARS of our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan, the soldiers there cannot do even the most basics of simple marching, yet alone perform independent infantry tactics?

Utterly ridiculous, as well as those who think we still have to hold their hands over there.

Again, bring em all home!!!!!

According to our Rules of Engagement, soldiers in a combat zone are told to hold their fire unless there is evidence of hostile action or direct hostile intent.

We all knew the terrorists utilized fighters on motorcycles and cell phones as scout/trackers. If there are enemy combatants reporting your patrol movements in order to facilitate an attack, how is that not hostile intent?

The rules of engagement in Iraq prohibited the military from entering mosques, treating them always as sacred sites instead of what they often were, namely, weapons storehouses and bases of operations for Iraqi insurgents and their allies in foreign terrorist organizations.

There is no winning in ME when you fight such a war.

Bring them home and let the Muslims figure things out themselves.

In this country, you have idiots saying everyday that, "Oh, if we don't bomb the hospital or school, they won't join the terrorist group." Can't win. Just come back home already.

How the Pentagon Lost Track of $45 Billion: It’s almost impossible to audit what taxpayers have spent to rebuild Afghanistan

Think of how much this could have helped Americans.

Sickening.

And about that budget. Trump chided other nations for not meeting the 2% quota on their defense budget but maybe they are better at finances than the Pentagon is. just saying.....
