Launch went letter-perfect, first stage landed like it had eyes, and Dragon is on the correct trajectory and has deployed its solar panels. Oh, and it's a previously flown Dragon.

I have no informed opinion on cars, but watch that and then say that Elon Musk isn't a huge asset to US aerospace.
