Well the Brits can be thankful for small things. No 2nd amendment so the terrorists were using knives not AR15. What would the death toll have been if the terrorists were well armed?

Obviously they do. Why the knives otherwise? I would also note the explosive vests were apparently phoney...another indication that the British terrorists are not well supplied.

Well one thing is for sure, it is natural human tendency to not do anything 'heroic' such as trying to disarm the attackers like a Bruce Willis action movie.
Often times we have people in internet land that have this fantasy that they would have done SOME 'heroic' deed to confront the attackers and disarm them one by one with arm bars and kicks to the head. Like that crazy Canadian on the Greyhound bus years ago.
The reality is that people in these situations PANIC and FREEZE (or flee). Like in that restaurant, the people in the restaurant froze when they saw that guy barge in with a knife and stab a waitress. Many of them simply ducked under the tables and just froze in sheer fright and panic, as I or anyone else would have done in similar situation. Thankfully the attacker simply left the restaurant after he stabbed the one waitress, it could have been a far worse bloodbath.
Respond in kind: for every innocent westerner killed by Islamic terror, kill 10 innocent Muslims.
Only then will peaceful Muslims come forward and provide authorities with the information needed to halt this madness.
But of course this will never happen.

That wouldn't help. Hell, the Israelis bulldoze the homes of family members of terrorists. Does it discourage them? Nope. Just creates more terrorists. It's the whole Idealogy of fundamentalist Islam that is the problem.
No true Muslim would commit such an act. These dajjals are kuffars and not followers of Islam. They will burn in the hellfire. Stop blaming religion for the actions of a few extremists. Furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a Muslim perform this act.
Just to play into your post, whether it is sincere or sarcastic, wherever there are Muslims, there will be moderates, conservatives, fundamentalists, Islamists and jihadists and each will declare themselves to be the absolute true followers of the faith. The simple fact that from fundamentalists on they are innately incompatible (and that's a generous, kind description) to Western ideals of democracy, freedom, free speech and human rights means that adherents to this religion will always pose a continuous threat to everyone else wherever they are present.
Much to the chagrin of the majority moderate Muslims that define the faith, but true nonetheless.
British police 'slotted' three of the terrorists at the same time and within eight minutes of the initial call about the incident. SAS were brought in to help the cops get the rest. Right now, there is still one on the loose. But, generally speaking, the attack was handled pretty well. The issue now is how to prevent future attacks.
That's peachy, too bad they had to wait. The Guardian is reporting that the community/local police ran, I don't know if The Guardian is reliable or not. It's good to know that at least some Brits will fight back. I saw where bar patrons hurled beer mugs at one attacker after he stabbed a woman.

Yeah, good thing. Now they're only dead from being run over, stabbed, and blown up with nail bombs. WHEW! Thank GOD no one was shot!
If the citizens were armed, they could have helped stop these idiots before they hurt more.
