freebeacon.com/politics/joy-behar-defends-maher-griffin-because-they-are-critical-of-trump/

So you people are so far out of this reality and into your own fantasy world that you think there is an "assault on comedians"? When you put it on a Late Night talk show and its just vile, sickening attack after another towards Trump? You really will whine about anything, won't you?

So this means the attacks on Griffin are OK?

Joy Behar isn't funny, she has never been. Confusing political assault with humor is a common ailment among those with Trump Derangement Syndrome such as Joy and Kathy.

The View and Behar are ISIS recruiting tools.

ISIS runs the View to demonstrate how obtuse and confused the Americans are and how easy they would be to destroy by even a rookie ISIS soldier earning his bones.

She wanted attention and she is getting it so I don't understand why she would complain about anything. Unless, maybe she wants more attention. That's likely it. Sounds like, according to her standards, she is a success story.

There is funny then there is shocking.
Who doesn't appreciate a clever comical jab at our elected but it seems with Trump the hate flows so deep that the so called comedy is not funny.
There are lines that should not be crossed out of respect. Griffin knew what she was doing and she knew there was going to be some backlash but she had no idea how bad that would be.
I'm glad she is getting called out on her poor behavior, maybe it will be a lesson to other comedians that it is OK to be funny but not to be deliberately shocking and gross.

They have moved from being funny comedians to bitter and hateful political mouth pieces. The late shows are becoming vulgar and unfunny but they have an audience who listens. They have a platform that allows them to spew this garbage and that is why we are hearing from so many liberals and some democrats. Most of Hollywood is liberal and this will continue as long as other liberals and democrats celebrate them.

Our president is a walking punchline. He is borderline illiterate, he constantly contradicts himself and his staff, and he's notoriously thin-skinned. He can't help but bark back at any comic (like Colbert) who takes jabs at him. No president has ever been so easy to bait. So as long as DJT keeps taking the bait, comics are going to keep taking digs. He makes it really easy.

That doesn't mean nobody crosses the line. Kathy Griffin deserves almost everything that's been directed towards her. She was grossly out of line. There's no defense of her actions, her "he ruined me" comments offer a pretty jarring look at someone who is completely delusional. I loathe our president. I find a lot of the jokes at his expense really funny (even if they're just too easy sometimes), but Griffin got what she asked for. Just like Trump does every time he goes on a tangent during a speech, contradicts someone who is trying to defend him, shows up a deeper shade of orange, or types "covfefe" on Twitter and it stays there for 6 hours. In both cases, some critics have crossed lines, but when you're in the spotlight and you do things for attention, you have to be able to deal with the consequences.

Behar said that the Trump's company discriminated against black people in housing, which is a reference to the 1973 federal lawsuit against Trump and his company for alleged racial discrimination.

"To me, that is a much more egregious sin than saying any kind of word to me and let's not lose perspective about comedians and words and things that comedians are saying, because there seems to be this assault on comedians," Behar said.
1) Events occurring over 40 years ago are not an alibi for events occurring today.

2) If she is claiming that saying ugly things about comedians is an assault on them, comedians have been "assaulting" politicians all my life. Comedians should be held to no different standard than any other public figure. Freedom of speech does not mean mean one can not be held accountable for that speech.

Those that throw dog crap at others shouldn't be surprised when some of it ends up on them.
