It's refreshing to see so many climate scientists chiming on this subject. Usually, it's just a bunch of people who have no idea how anything works, let alone science, trying to fend off questions they don't know how to answer while calling everyone disagreeing with them all kinds of names like "science deniers."

What point do you take issue with?

I understand the concept of it, I have an issue with this mention of it as evidence to "excuse" their inability to properly validate their claim that mans "small contribution" is the primary driver.

It is used because they can not properly establish the causation, so they must rely on assumptions of such idiotic use to establish their position.

The fact is, the idiot in that video (another "political" scientist) is a hard core activist (like Hansen) and is spinning a bunch of useless crap as an excuse to avoid having to deal with the fact that their assumptions have all made them look stupid.

So what we get is a bunch of "weather is not climate" /derp /derp claims excusing events that they originally claimed were evidence because observation did not match up with their explanation.

Now they prattle on like morons telling us about how "climate is long term" and then push out their predictions further and further where verification and validation can not be achieved in any reasonable sense, leaving us to "accept the authority and expertise" of a bunch of useless twits over scientific process. Keep in mind... at the same time these frauds are using short term evaluations to proclaim climate. They are liars.

"we need to act to save the planet!"

Sorry, but this is anti-science garbage perpetrated by a bunch of political Hollywood boot licking activists and it is disgusting to see them insult peoples intelligence with their useless excuses.

My brother who happens to be a real scientist working with real issues said 10 years ago GW Science is a made up field for 2nd rate PHD's. Seems he was right on.

Please explain to me how come, the people who don't understand where the money must come from to cover the minimum wage increase, suddenly all become Nobel Price worthy climate scientists?

It's also the same group of people who fell for the recycling BS which is still biting our behind.

Maybe before they save the world, they need to understand how the world works!

ah well considering that the whole of CAGW theory hinges on positive forcing overwhelming negative forcing, we are in trouble then aren't we.

Open up that graph you posted and zoom in on the very last bar, the most recent data point. You will see a large jump in average temperature. All of the other warming and cooling trends you see on the chart took place gradually over millions of years. That is the key point.

Climate is not weather, and I'm damned tired of people claiming "weatherman get the weather wrong all the time." as some idiotic excuse to deny climate change. Again - climate is not weather, and weathermen do NOT "get the weather wrong all the time."

Good lord - when they say there's going to be a heat wave next week "starting Tuesday into Wednesday," they are correct. When they say there's going to be a snowstorm this weekend "that may produce 6 to 8 inches of snow" they are correct. If they say there's a "chance the snow may fall as rain" then they are correct if it is snow or rain, because sometimes the weather is like that. Only somebody overly literal and who just relishes picking fights would then claim the weatherman is "wrong" because 5.9" of snow fell at their house, or the heatwave started past midnight into Wednesday, and thus technically didn't start "Tuesday into Wednesday." Childish crap like that is not "proving the weatherman wrong" and is about as mature as a toddler telling his parents that they are "wrong" when they say it's 5 PM because "technically, it's 5:01 pm."

The laughable defenses from the far-right against basic climate science is getting old. Claiming that "nobody knows what is happening" is a bold-face lie and is like claiming that since scientists can't tell you EXACTLY how many years smoking a specific brand of cigarettes will knock off your life, than the scientists must be "lying" and "smoking must be great for you." This type of defense is utterly idiotic and demonstrates a staggering lack of understanding about basic math, science, probability, trends, and forecasting the future.

I don't see any right-wingers producing any reasonable counter to climate change science other than "it's a conspiracy!" or just outright denial of facts. If that's the best they have, they should pack it in and keep quiet.
