Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday, TGIF Friday, Chili's... same deep-fried ****, different name. If you can't be bothered to put even one vegan dish on the menu (salad bar doesn't count), I don't want to know you. Unless you don't mind a half-starved angry drunk Xennial (yay, Happy Hour!) double-fisting your oily, generously-salted French fries.

I guess they figure vegans are such a small percentage of the population .
But there is definitely a hip factor associated with veganism .
Most people don't stick with it though .

Saying something is vegan or organic or gluten free today instantly makes it cool .

I live in Los Angeles and it's pretty easy to find entire restaurants that cater to Vegans
I know it's a lot harder to find in many parts of the country though .

I imagine vegans don't eat out much in those parts of the country and mostly prepare their own food.

" Estimates of vegans in the US vary from two percent (Gallup, 2012)[103] to 0.5 percent (Faunalytics, 2014). According to the latter, 70 percent of those who adopted a vegan diet abandoned it.[1"
