Donald Trump wants to charge retailers a fee for accepting food stamps as payment from the poor.
The food stamp fee would be reassessed every five years.

Budget office predicts $2.4 billion in new revenue from the fee, which is seen hurting independent grocers more than big chains.

Separately, the Trump administration is proposing $191 billion in cuts over the next decade to the food stamp program.

Doing what he can to destroy the bodegas that support the lower income communities he's trying to destroy. Don't forget rural communities. If your closest grocery store is 30 minutes away and they stop accepting food stamps you are screwed.

This amounts to a tax, not a normally good move for a Republican.

At least by doing this it might help get the inheritance tax reduced, so that's a plus !

Good!!! Push people to work & invest in valuable skillsets, useful college degrees rather than relying on govt for freebies. You wont be able to eliminate immigration if you dont motivate your people to work harder. Hit the useless college degrees next by making them twice as expensive as the technical, medical degrees.
