100% if I am sitting in a restaurant and some nut comes in and starts yelling at the nice people next to me because they are muslim, im going to stand up and get involved. period. because its wrong.
my problem is, the left wants to make every case of a nut the same thing as Political Islamists killing people. they aren't the same. They don't happen with the same frequency and they don't end with the same result.
If you are a Muslim and you reject Political Islam, then you are the same as me. I am a Christian and as with virtually all Christians, we reject the idea of some Religious Oligarchy.
This thread is about trying to bring some perceived balance. It is some misguided moral equivalence. I suppose the goal is to say "see they have a reason for what they are doing".
No "they" don't. We aren't talking about Muslims. We are talking about people using violence to bring about a political state where Islam is the ruling dogma. period. yelling at people isn't a moral equivalent.

I am not condoning this man's reprehensible behavior but let's face it, Muslims around the world have got a big PR problem on their hands and compared to the dead in the UK, Paris, Nice, San Bernardino etc. these girls got off easy.

And if you're going to bring up 9/11 - well, muslims died in those towers too, and I'm not talking about the highjackers. Are you seriously saying that the deaths of muslims in those towers is somehow to be expected because the people who killed them were also muslim?
I am all for capturing and punishing the people who actually commit atrocities. But these girls had nothing to do with any of it, and it is NOT OK for someone to blame them. Anymore than it would be OK to blame you, even though you had nothing to do with any of it either.

I notice that the video is edited to begin exactly at the moment when the man says, "Go and beat it, you don't like this country, leave." It is very likely that the group of girls said something to set him off. I also notice that he is elderly and not a physical threat to them.
Exactly. As usual with these videos we dont see the whole story. We dont know what happened prior, what was said or how the girls were behaving. I don't condone engaging in this kind of behavior or the language in public but how do we know those girls weren't just as guilty. Why did they even confront him and engage him with insulting words. I would just have ignored him and kept walking.
