Theresa May says the internet must now be regulated following London Bridge terror attack | The Independent

Quote:
New international agreements should be introduced to regulate the internet in the light of the London Bridge terror attack, Theresa May has said.

The Prime Minister said introducing new rules for cyberspace would “deprive the extremists of their safe spaces online” and that technology firms were not currently doing enough.
Using terror attacks to erode freedoms is nothing new and is to be expected. Such comments from a Marxist mouth piece should not be at all surprising.

Freedom of thought will eventually become a frequently removed privilege.

Why can't this woman admit the problem is ISLAMIC extremism? ? This is all so pathetic. And if I hear one more gushing media report fawning over these ghetto-ized half-naked ridiculous pop star benefit concerts....

So, when the GOP ended net neutrality, freedoms are not lost?

People love to focus on things that don't matter - world leaders, celebrities, the media, many posters on CD. At the end of the day, these terrorists will still exist and the best we can do is protect ourselves, no matter how un-PC we have to be. The internet isn't the ultimate problem, individual national policies are the problem. Failures in intelligence are the problem.

No one wants to address the actual issues here. I get why. It's uncomfortable to call certain people of certain groups out and to profile them but unfortunately it's everyone's best option. The sooner our leaders see it, the better.

Israel knows it.

There is very legitimate criticisms that can be made about getting rid of Net Neutrality, governement censorship is not one of them.

If you want to talk about government censorship let's discuss the Fairness Doctrine often pushed by liberals.

Whatever the case she is going to run into a brick wall here and that will be bipartisan at least as far as the population goes. I think that is one thing most of us can agree on.

Conservative party in the U.K isn't the same as the conservatives in the U.K. Only those that get in power that are apart of the UKIP will anything anyone does have a positive benefit. The fact that the public and popular figures are using this narrative to call for a ban on Muslims is an unfortunate blow back. They won't stop muslim invasion, in fact they require it. Since the leftist politicians know the root cause of the attacks, and rather than address the problem they instead use prayer and hashtags.

No such thing as Islamic extremism. It's just Islam. 'Moderate' muslims are either practicing 'taqiyya' (deception) or they're revisionists.

Translation, the internet is used to criticize the stupidity of western leaders, so we must shut it down before the people get together and revolt.. That is what she is really thinking.. The solution, is to round up all the invaders and deport them, of course, that would appear racist so punish the normal white citizens instead.

Well the internet is where ISIS is recruiting the most. They don't cross 'open borders' and come in and hold classes on terrorism -- they post online.
