Typically, a country club donating use of its facilities for a charity event makes a " donation in kind" meaning they deduct the market value of the event donation from their taxes.

That's obviously not what was done for some of the events.

In fund raising, net profits go to the cause. That too was done the case given some funds were redirected to other family foundations, not St Jude's, as was claimed.

Really poor form all the way around.
