Ick. I love guys, most of the ones in my life are incredible, but I am not about to take a shot out of a guys belly button no matter how awesome he is. Especially if he's gotten all sweaty from dancing. I'd hug a sweaty guy, but I ain't taking a belly shot from one!

[quote=shorman;48421562]Yes, it is totally rational to boycott a fast food chain due to the color of the box the fries come in .

I can't believe how much some people hate gay people, it is like a form of mental illness.[/QUOTE

It's a choice. McDonald's board room is making theirs, the consumer can make theirs as well. I like their fries and I don't think I'll lose sleep over it but, it is a rather bold move particularly considering that their main customer grew up on their products and probably is more against it than for it.

Question, if they were to release a overtly heterosexual them in honor of guys and gals getting together, would there be any controversy from the gays? Not being confrontational, just curious.

I think the less noise a group of folks make, the less anyone cares. The outfront movement is off putting to many. I think for those in that group that always feel under assault would just lighten the f up once in a while they may find that the other 99% couldn't care less.

I haven't been to McDonalds since my last long, long road trip over 20 years ago presented the chain as my only lunch option.

All these body shots going on in the world and somebody is worried about a bunch of french fries in a box with a rainbow on it.

Seriously-- what is wrong with us -- lolol.

You apparently care enough to post in this thread about it.

McDonald's fries are delicious. I don't care if they put Hannibal Lector on the box. I would still eat them. Who cares?

First of all, if I was an investor in McDonalds, I would be pissed. Mcdonalds could be looking at some boycotts over their rainbow fries. Why do these companies feel the need to have a position on social issues? You make fast food. No one wants to go to Mcdonalds to hear or see a message about gay pride. They just want the food that they are used to. Such a move serves no benefit business wise as people like Christians may choose to no longer do business there. It just shows there is a liberal agenda at play here even at the cost of making money.

I don't want to go to Mcdonalds and see some barrier that says, "check out our gay fries in fun rainbow colors because being gay is fun and cool!" Of course, they will say they are only showing support for the gay community, but I see it as marking a specific message especially to kids.

Most Christians including myself don't care how someone wants to live their life as long as they are not causing harm to others. But these marketing ploy is just another growing instance of the LGBT community forcing a pro-gay message onto the public. Just give me fries.
It's a free country. Gays aren't forcing anything. McDonald's is making a choice. Make your own. Buy your fries somewhere else.
