liberal media is trying to comfort it's readership - NYT did a hit piece afterward with two legal "minds" saying that it wasn't good for trump. if you live and breath those news sources you are going to naturally see it their way. dems need to open their minds to other sources - not just what they want to hear. that's what most Trump supporters do - listen to all sides and come to their own conclusions.

It was sad. I kind of always like him I'm at the age right now where I have older people (80's) who are becoming forgetful, confused. There is a stage where they are smart enough to realize that they are wandering off and not sure what they are saying.....I thought I saw that in McCain today. A couple of times you could almost see him say -- @#$% I'm having one of those moments. So sad. Thank goodness for the buzzer.
If he is having cognitive and memory problems due to age, I hope someone who cares will help him exit gracefully. He has served our country for a very long time and I would hate to see his career end with talk of him being addled.
Strange. Comey was suppose to find the Trump leakers who revealed conversations of Donald Trump to the New York Times, and Comey leaks Trump's conversations to the New York Times.
You should go back and read exactly what Comey wrote. He said Trump asked for his loyalty: "I need loyalty, I expect loyalty." Nothing was said about honesty by Trump. Then Comey replied: "You will always get honesty from me." You see, there would be a big problem for an FBI Director to say he would be loyal to the President. That would imply that whatever the president wants the director to do, he would do it regardless of what it was. That is not how the FBI Director acts. If you listened to his testimony today, he explained all that. He cannot take sides by dropping the investigation against Flynn just because the president expects loyalty and asks him to let it go.
I have heard that people who have worked for Trump know that he expects complete loyalty to him. You cannot say or do anything behind his back to criticize him, etc.
I think Trump was trying to word-play trick by replying to Comey, when he said: "That's what I want, honest loyalty." Loyalty implies Comey will stand by the president no matter what, do something that is questionable or something that is against the law or against his beliefs.
If you really listened to Comey (I know that might be hard to do because you like Trump), he said he was not on anybody's side politically. That is how any FBI Director should be.
It bothers me that Trump kept asking for Comey's loyalty and having private conversations/dinner with him. I think Trump realized Comey was his own man and could not be bought (he would not agree to be loyal) and so he fired him. This is what appears to be the case by those who aren't afraid to speak out against Trump.
Whether this will get Trump in trouble, who knows. Unfortunately, those people who didn't vote for Trump and are trying to give him a chance, are probably having a hard time.
I've seen both quotes... "loyalty" and "honest loyalty." But that is not the point.
My Only Comment is Let TRUMP go Under Oath and give his testimony.. and NOT put out his high paid legal Council to allege what Trump's interpretation is!!
Until I hear Trump under OATH.. His historical Lies will paint him simply as " Liar -in- CHIEF! He averages between 4-5 lies a day since sworn into office.. Let that Spewing in Chief speak for himself!!

Let Trump Testify under OATH.. then will wait for the fallout. Bet, Trump will claim "Forgetfulness/Sometimer's Disease" and being overworked etc etc!! As he has already confessed.. It's a lot harder than he thought .. LMBO

Trump evidently thinks he can run the government like he ran is businesses - by underhanded dealing, quid-pro-quo and intimidation. And, of course, demanding utmost loyalty. He's erratic, unstable, unprepared, volatile, and childish.
In five short months, he and Steve Bannon have created chaos domestically, reduced our status to a second-world country, unleashed probably the most crooked administration in history, created a divide with our European allies (something the Russians have been trying to do since the end of World War II), and is systematically dismantling the government. Bannon's crusade is to undermine the press (Trumps ad-nauseum talking points are wearing thin), as well as our other institutions.
