Please explain this "blackmail" by Comey. It sounds like something incoherent that McCain might say.
The OP is referring to J. Edgar Hoover, who should have been fired years before he died in office. Hoover kept files on all of the important politicians and the threat of exposing the politicians' indiscretions kept him in office. Hoover, himself, was blackmailed by the mafia who threatened to expose his homosexuality and the inference that he was actually a mulatto.
