That site seems a little wacky. Also, why would Comey record his conversations with the Trump family for over a year? I could be wrong here but i wouldn't think Comey had any communications with any of the Trumps pre transition period.

You're spot on about that. My late H's best friend used to be the FBI's top arson investigator, and his wife was an investigator on white collar crime cases. True, she was also a renowned shootist, but that wasn't necessary to her FBI position.

However, I recall being greeted with a message that calls are taped when I phoned the Federal District Attorney in Hawaii.
If the DA office in Hawaii is taped, I certainly would think the FBI office in DC would be taped too.
Actually Comey himself said that the calls are all recorded. Not that much was said other than to be invited to a meeting, too bad he did not know it was a Private meeting seeking his oath of Loyalty. The bigger questions are does anyone have tapes from within the Whitehouse, trump does want to document his legend after all, and does Putin have tapes, that you can count on, oh my, and what they might reveal.
