Special counsel team investigating Trump campaign's Russia ties are 'bad people,' Newt Gingrich says - ABC News

Gingrich brought up a very good point that 97% of the DOJ's political contributions went to Hillary Clinton. How can the Justice Department appoint an unbiased Special Counsel when 97% of their political contributions went to Hillary?

Yes Newt educated George on Newt's opinion on things. It was a great interview. George asked direct, informed questions...and Newt gave his opinions and answers clearly and concisely.

George had a good interview with Ken Starr the day before as well -- who doesn't agree at all with Newt.

They both are Republicans. They both have their opinions.

Interesting.

For the record Trump donated to the Democrats before. Is he tainted for life......

Gingrich is an idiot. Mueller was appointed by a Republican and got 100-0 Senate confirmation. You can't find anyone less biased or with more integrity.

And I know for a fact you guys would be perfectly ok with this if he had a Republican bias and tried to clear Trump, so your argument is 100% invalid.

And by your ridiculous logic, Trump donated to Democrats, including Hillary throughout his life, so obviously he needs to resign due to biased.

Newt knows his stuff. This special counsel was formed under manipulation by Comey. No evidence .It is a witch hunt because there is NO REASON for an investigation in the first place.

My question would be what would be the make-up of a Special Counsel that could not be dissected and criticized ? Everyone will have affiliations of various kinds.

Bad people Gingrich says. Seems to me Gingrich had some ethics and character problems in the past. Trump adviser and associate---well, birds of a feather DO seem to stick together.

Gingrich IMO should stay away. He has been described by prominent people as dumb as an ash tray and a p---k. Not the type I would want as an adviser and surely not a office holder or an authority.

Mueller hiring someone with connections to the Clinton Foundation and we are supposed to believe in integrity and neutrality of the investigation. Laughable !!! He might as well hire Obama. He is a lawyer and available too.

Gingrich thought Mueller was a PERFECT choice about three weeks ago.

Exactly. Mueller was great until they realized he's going to actually be digging up dirt and lots of people will be mud covered by the end of this.
