I used to consider myself a moderate democrat, but now I consider myself a liberal who also has a few libertarian and classic conservative leanings in regards to a certain few issues.

I consider the violent protesters and Antifa people weirdos and wish they would go "help" someone else. Probably how most Trumpists feel about the KKK types that support them. Bunch of knuckle-draggers, the lot of them.

This is for moderate Democrats. Maybe there are none on this web site.
Mohawk's point stands, there are examples of people on both sides of the aisle who have taken the ideology to the extreme point of committing violence. The Portland tram killer did a few weeks ago. Breitbart commenters are regularly posting about "wiping out the leftists"- seriously, look at any article, they're all the same. This guy was a nut. An absolute nut. And he doesn't represent anyone but himself- even if he latched on to a certain ideology.

But back to your point- I think just about everyone on the left has accepted the election results and that Trump is president. Clinton was a deeply flawed candidate who was arrogant and lost of her own accord. The dems. Screwed up. I don't believe Russia shifted the election one way or another. At all. I do believe they meddled, but I don't think they influenced the outcome. I place the blame squarely on HRC and the dems. Doing anything else could end in repeating history. You only lose an election where you win the popular vote by nearly 3,000,000 people if you're wildly out of touch with the voting base- which she was. Trump should have been an easy candidate to beat. His campaign knew they wouldn't win the popular vote so they campaigned strategically while HRC assumed she had places locked up. She was wrong. And that's why she lost.

All that being said, Trump is wildly unpopular. And it's our right to demand better from the president or work to remove him from office. I know the head in the sand Trump base don't like it, but unless there's a big change from POTUS, the protests and resistance will continue. Because he's so unpopular, he's going to have a hard time working with it.

We know.
Heard it all before and scraped it off my shoe.
This would seem to be an unfounded allegation, as the Internet wasn't around 50 years ago, nor were computers widespread - the old UNIVACs were huge and used only for business purposes; and no one had PCs.

Hence, no significant foreign interference, such as what occurred last year (and is continuing to occur, that Troll Factory in St. Petersburg is well-inhabited), was possible. Certainly it's likely the KGB kept close watch on things and had actual human operatives in place in the U.S. plus others to whom they reported back in the Kremlin, but nothing on this scale occurred previously. It just wasn't possible.

Things were fine until we went far left and got involved with socialism and globalism which brought out the ugly violence you see today. Socialism so often is connected with violence and is seen as a tool for change. The real tools are the people who won't listen to us moderates. The only way to stop them is to enforce the laws and make them pay the price for their crimes.

I just hate what they have done to my party. I don't have any friends anymore. They don't want to be around me thinking i'm like all the rest of the violent democrats. They won't even let me hold their babies because they are afraid i'll go off the deep end and bash their heads against the cement steps. I had to stop wearing the planed parent tee shirts but it didn't help.
I'm thinking of leaving the party like all my friends did. I'm so sad but i'm a coward and won't harm myself. I'm a victim.
wth? Wtf?

You're still not getting it. Show me anything the Tea Party has done like this:

Why can't the left use what they "claim" to be as their superior education and intellect to debate intelligently to convince voters they have valid points, instead of throwing temper tantrums, rioting, vandalizing, looting, burning, and physically attacking others to forcefully and violently get their way?

And, BTW, you do know that the DNC hired operatives to impersonate GOP supporters and commit many of the acts some of you have listed:

I'm a moderate and would be interested in a link for the violence at the Tea Party rally.

pmha, please schedule a couple session with a counselor to discuss your lack of friends and self-harm statements. Your posts sound like a cry for help. Wishing the best in finding it.

I believe that guy was paid to be there to irritate the crowd. Anybody with a sign like that knows better than to go to a crowd like that. If you want milk and honey you wouldn't start at that place.
