I's very easy to see that from the other side too:

This is the problem with the "prohibition" crowd. They are incapable (or unwilling) to see any potential benefits.

The problem Finn, is that millions use drugs, most illegally. To you, legalizing will bring in a whole new set of problems because we will be adding millions to the ranks of drug users. NOT TRUE. The vast majority of drug users are already using them. The potential problems you are worried about are already here. Legalizing will add little to them, but will add dramatically to reducing harm.

For example, once while getting new tires, the tire shop cleaned up my console, dash, seats, etc., as part of their service. I asked them what they do if they find something "funny". They admitted they find lots of "green things" (his words). The key word there is "lots". Of course they don't do anything except ignore it, otherwise half of their customer base would be in jail.

If driving and marijuana were going to mix in such a way as to be disastrous, it would have happened decades ago.

MJ doesn't have the same affects on driving as alcohol, and alcohol related deaths have decreased in states where its been legalized.

Traffic fatalities (including alcohol related) had dropped to half in a fairly shot period of time before any state had legalized it, so it's rich to credit the drop to pot. It is due to increased car safety. As a matter of fact we had a thread about this, and your claims turned out a major piece of fake news.

What is also rather rich is you completely ignore the fact that fatalities didn't increase, in spite of this alleged increased risk caused by legalization, along with all the other benefits of legalization you conveniently ignore.

Maybe you're just incapable of seeing them?
