So we disagree on this. Nothing wrong with it.

Syria is Obama's war. Trump is now president and he has to deal with it. He will not be impeached for it as was earlier stated.

US Military was also right to warn Russia that if they attack our forces, we will absolutely defend ourselves.

Hahaha. You think King Hillary isn't interested in continuing wars without end? Well no matter, it's clear you are fighting partisan war.

Correction. He was a community agitator. It's easy to rile up a bunch of locals with speech. Obama is good at this. It's quite difficult to put together plans and get support to actually make things better. Current situation in Chicago speaks for itself.
Who cares what political party wants?

Vote for Trump and he will get us completely out of Syria without wasting 100s of billions on failed plans that achieve nothing.

Yep, and that's what's going to be the downfall of America, unfortunately...
Reminds me of one particular Russian fairy-tale - Russian folk tale "Fisherman and little fish"

Yep. And if some Americans would say "we are the only ones that are allowed to protect our interests, since OUR interests are the best for the world," the question arises "And who are the judges?"

US is not 'helping ISIS'..every-time I see one of you post that, I lose a little respect for you.
Oh but it does, inadvertently so, in the same manner as it helped the creation of Al-qaeda, while fighting Russians in Afghanistan.

Anti-Assad does not equal ISIS. That is Russian and Syrian propaganda.
THEORETICALLY - no, but practically speaking yet again, it helps to strengthen its positions.

Russia had best back off and re-assess the situation..before they get a rude awakening as to the realities of the modern battlefield.
Russia has its own interests in mind ( as I've already mentioned,) and it all depends how much Russian geopolitical interests are met (or not.)

Oh well, so much for all those "why does the media portray Russians as bad," threads we saw so much of earlier this year.

To be more than fair; everyone he'd ever done business with was shouting it from the rooftops but no one was listening to them. The preferred script sound bite was MAGA!!!!

Let's take these in order.

Point 1 is already nixed, you said so in the point.

Point 2 is reasonable, given you don't throw away more money, and blood just because something has cost you both unless your sure that you can afford that extra money and blood.

Point 3 requires me to ask a question, how did shooting down a Syrian aircraft attacking US backed rebels (but not US servicemen), help us achieve the stated goal of point #3?

"US Pilots Will Defend Themselves If Attacked By Russians"

Of course they would. What else do you expect them to do? Die?
The debate isn't should US servicemen defend themselves if attacked, it's why is our government expanding a conflict in a region without congressional approval, and where the simplest and easiest solution would be to not overfly Syria without Syrian clearance and therefore not put US Servicemen in harms way.

Prior to events at the weekend it would have been to have a hard ROE that stated unless US forces (actual forces of Americans) are attacked, then Syrian forces and their allies are not to be attacked. We've been violating Syrian airspace for the entire length of time we've been there, we've bombed Syrian troops, we violated a negotiated ceasefire between the combatants and we shot a Syrian warplane down that eas flying in Syrian airspace and now we're getting shirty that Syria and allies see us as a threat and possible target. I mean given our series of completely mind-numbingly stupid actions so far how could Syria and Russia not see us as a threat and act accordingly? We've done everything but take out a double page ad in Pravda with a picture of Lady Liberty wrapped in the Stars and Stripes wielding an M16 saying "We're coming to kick your hairy a**es"
