WASHINGTON — President Trump on Monday continued an apparent pattern of selectively commenting on hate crimes and terrorist attacks, leading White House critics to accuse him of failing to personally condemn violence carried out by non-Muslims.

Nearly 14 hours after a driver plowed through Muslim worshippers outside of a London mosque, killing at least one, Trump’s usually noisy personal Twitter account was uncharacteristically silent. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said in an off-camera press briefing that the administration’s “thoughts and prayers” were with those affected, but Trump personally had not weighed in on any format.
Trump, as president, has repeatedly promised to heal cross-racial divisions, but his slow reaction to violence against minorities or hate-related violence not perpetrated by Muslims is drawing scorn.
“If it was about terrorism, you would recognize these incidents regardless of who does it,” said Carol Anderson, a scholar of race and social justice at Emory University, in a Monday interview. “But this is situational. This situational concern underlies everything in this administration.”
So when acts of terror are committed by Muslims, @POTUS can’t wait to Tweet. When they are committed AGAINST Muslims, nothing,” David Axelrod, a former advisor to President Obama, said in a tweet on Monday.

NO excuse but stupidity for anyone to be surprised by this! The racist hate-monger showed his colors his entire campaign! Better silence..... than his "prayers are with you" BS!

Aside from all the other negative characteristics we know about Trump.........the lying, corrupt, not bright Donald Trump, it is also a fact that he is simply not a nice man. He has no compassion for others and sees other people as in his way and to be used.

Our last President was a strong person, but we also saw him shed tears when appropriate. He has compassion for others, whereas Trump is as cold as ice. Whenever he comes out with these "Our hearts and prayers go out to the families" statements, it is just said because someone tells him it is what he should do. On his own, he could give a s*** about others.

Exactly Don. Innocent people are innocent people no matter what color or creed. By not speaking out against blind ignorance and hate, doesn't it silently encourage the lunatic fringe? Yet another missed opportunity by Trump to appear presidential.

Trump is only interested in being the president of Wall Street fatcats and ignorant racists. The rest of us don't count.

The devil is in the details, look at how his sole response to the Portland stabbings was a tweet on his official POTUS account (obviously written by a staffer). Meanwhile, if a Muslim stabbed 3 White people you would see about 100 tweets from his real handle (realdonaldtrump).

President Trump is no different than Odummy...they both spoke up about events that fit their narrative they wanted to push and ignored those that didn't.

But I am glad to hear more Snowflake tears.

Seriously! The same usual suspects engaging in the same usual circle jerk, every *single* day.

I initially scoffed at the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" diagnosis ... until recently. Now I see posters here who used to be very partial and reasonable turning into angry and obsessive anxiety cases who feel some form of self-importance I guess in sharing every single headline thet they can with the world. I guess this is just how one-dimensional people behave. TDS is real.

The comments are right about those who continually nip at Trump's ankles, but I think there is a valid point here. It is an attack against innocent people. Trump should at least make note of it as he did the others. It would actually help him.

I think I have to agree with you. Trump is a malignant narcissist that can't relate to anyone but the 1%. I have serious doubts that he has the best interest of our country as a priority. It feels like the white house is nothing more than the playground of the 1%. His sketchy business partners and his lawyer needing a lawyer is indeed disturbing. I think he's too busy worrying about his own problems to care about any one elses. MAGA? Hardly.

A teachable event. The real story is that a Britt eventually retaliated against his perceived enemy after multiple Islamic terrorist murders. Any suprise?
