Urban Dictionary: white people

For those that don't know, Urban Dictionary is a website where users can post whatever definition they want for a given word or expression, and the definition gets up-voted or down-voted and the top rated definitions appear at the top. Often people are just trying to be funny, but it's generally a good resource for meanings of cultural phrases you won't find in Webster's or Oxfords.

In this case, the definitions are full of hateful bigoted vitriol against white people. It's not surprising that someone would post such things, what is sad is all the up votes and lack of down votes. It just goes to show you the levels of self-hatred in our society today and how social justice warriors look down upon themselves

Of course, because that's seen as politically correct to put white folks in their place. I'm guessing the "Black People" page is better moderated. Funny thing is, we don't really care.

I think you missed the point, UD is symptomatic of the disease we have to today with SJWs looking for racial bias everywhere and towing the line of white people as oppressors and black people as the oppressed. And it's self-hating white people that are at the forefront of this. It's not only UD, this sort of thing is being fed and hyped by the media and social networks

I believe in free speech, so I don't care what people put up on UD. Racist jokes? As long as they're funny, have at it.

What I DON'T like is the double-standard when it comes to speech codes, acceptable speech and political correctness.

What's worse is that so much of it bubbles up from the internet, where white kids and teenagers are disproportionately subject to a barrage of social justice theory calling them oppressors, etc. Adults should be able to handle it and can argue back, but kids and young teens shouldn't be subject to it in the media.

It is literally akin to cyber bullying and the most vicious racist content can be found on "black twitter" or "brown twitter"... literally, stuff that would right be at home on Stormfront if the colors were flipped.

Did it hurt your feelings to know that the white race might not be universally loved because of the things that some white people do/say?

I call those "fancied" resentments.

Why would anyone waste their time there?

Skin color, race, creed, gender, etc. are constructs of the ego. Deep down, we're all the same.

And yet, not a single untruth to be seen on the page.
