There were Republicans on CNN this morning saying they it bothers them a great deal that the president pretends nothing happened, and therefore there is no problem, and nothing needs to be fixed. With that attitude the door is open for Russia to do it again.
But then again, maybe that is what Trump is counting on in 2020 After all, Russia was 100% behind Trump, so why not again?
Absolutely mind blowing to me that not only did Putin personally direct this operation, but that Republicans are perfectly ok with it.
This was without a doubt a Russian coup of the U.S.
Republicans are not ok with it--that's why they are holding hearings and investigations.
Trump is ok with it. Never even asked a question to Comey about it. Doesn't care. Doesn't care what Putin does. The reality host in chief very simply could care less about America's sovereign democratic processes. He just does not care (or owes Putin bigly).
I don't think it is accurate to say republicans don't care. They may not agree that it changed the outcome, but any American who cares for our democracy cares that a hostile foreign entity was this involved in trying to subvert it.
