Judges - plural - on the 9th. You would think so but the 9th has more cases overturned than any other court and yet continues to make very bad decisions. There's a reason the opposition decided to legally challenge this in Hawaii to begin with (also known as judge shopping).
The 6th Circuit ( covers Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and Michigan) is the most overturned Circuit. The 11th Circuit is the 2nd highest overturned.
You also have to view it from the context of number of cases heard vs number overturned. The 9th Circuit is the largest and by far hears the most cases. By the numbers, the 9th Circuit has less than 1 percent of its cases overturned.
So you are in fact wrong and should really stop listening to idiots like Sean Hannity and try actually accepting facts.
Ok Marc, I still disagree with your ethnocentric views about the US, but let's agree to disagree on that. What's so terrible about our current vetting system? Why is it so flawed that Trump has to save us from the big bad terrorists hiding behind every corner, just waiting to legally emigrate here so they can blow us up?
Do you know? Does anyone know? How will blocking immigration increase Trump's IQ enough to allow him to invent an improved vetting system on the one that already works? No one I have ever spoken to has an answer.
Our current vetting system is irrelevant if the country the immigrant is coming from is a backward theocratic regime that does not maintain proper records and cannot supply a cogent history for the applicant.
Doesn't matter what we do. Or what our system is. For example, there is no vetting someone from Somalia at all. The country is in a lawless shambles ruled by various warring barbaric mystics. There is no mechanism to evaluate someone from Somalia, regardless of our best efforts. You can't even be sure of someone's name from this area. They could be harmless, a pirate, or a terrorist, and nobody could ever hope to figure out which. The country still engages in widespread female genital mutilation.
Germany can deal with it if they want. Or the Nordican Utopias, with their splendid collectivist perfection, can import every refugee from every corner of the globe, since they don't have to worry about paying for military defense since WE DO. If they want to expose their citizens to barbarism and primitivism, go right ahead.

Besides, up to this point refugeess have not been the problem. We have no responsibility, either express or implied, to become a landing point for refugees. People are responsible for their leaders. Don't run from your country of origin. Fix it by not allowing barbarian mystics to rule it in the first place. Fix your philosophy, fix your politics, fix your economics. We provided the model and the philosophy of Reason, Freedom, Individualism, and Capitalism. We provided the example and the success. That is our gift. Now it is up to the backward countries of the world to learn the obvious lessons and copy our system and our philosophy and become free, just like we are. If they want to stay mired in theocracy and barbarism, and the inevitable back and forth obliteration of life and property, that is their choice. But when things get really ugly, and one faction is gassing another with nerve agents, we are now responsible to admit the runaways to our society? And pay for their upkeep? While their core beliefs of mystical barbarism remain intact and ready to destroy us?
My prediction. Lots of court cases. The Supreme Court allowed personal exemptions. Courts will get flooded.
