"After doing everything they could to undermine ACA, Republicans have now sabotaging it with uncertainty."

OK, what have they done?

Obama stated at 1 time "I will NOT compromise" on anything related to the existing law.

How many bills have the dems introduced to FIX any part of O Care?

Has there been ANY amendment to O Care AT ALL since it becoming a law?

It is failing on its own weight.

Deductibles too high.

Co-pays too high

Insurance companies pulling out of states leaving them with only 1 choice if at all.

NONE have ANYTHING to do with the pepubs.

The dems created it and it is ENTIRELY THEIRS!

Sorry to burst your bubble.

And as usual when the dems fail, try to blame someone else.

I would love to see them repeal without replacing. It would be entertaining to watch the chaos and collapse of the health insurance market and industry. It is only a sixth of the economy so it probably would have no effect at all on the rest of the economy or the stock market.

Anarchy and chaos is the way to go with this mess in the WH.

Happy Fourth of July! Notice how every single lawmaker along with the president and his family all flee the capitol of the nation on its birthday?

True patriots.

The dems didn't NEED to get 60 vote to pass it.

The SAME way can be used to repeal it.
The Democrats had 60 votes in the Senate before and after Ted Kennedy died due to Spector changing from R to D. Stop lying. https://www.forbes.com/sites/physici.../#17ac76e5526b

I agree.

It is difficult to imagine a path in which corporations could continue to rake in the profits without subsidies and Republicans are not about subsidizing.

Without subsidies, insurance companies will not only be losing the customers on on plans they can no longer afford, but without the mandate the customer pool is weighted toward older, more expensive customers who are priced out of the market as well.

Republicans could repeal ACA, but this option seems like it could be political suicide, more Simon Legree than Saint Reagan really.

So that leaves, option #3.

Quite simply Republicans do not have the votes for a straight repeal. Forget the 60 votes, even if they try reconciliation, they wouldn't have 50.

It was easy for many of them to vote for a straight repeal when it had no chance of happening. They could say they were against Obama care, but not deal with the repercussions of doing away with pre-existing conditions protections among others.

Now voting for a straight repeal, it would actually happen, so they would have to deal with those repercussions. Susan Collins is a already a No, and voted against the last straight repeal vote when Obama was President and would certainly be a no again. That leaves only one other no, and it would certainly be more.

What you say would be true if you pay $0 in taxes. Do you live completely tax free? Do you pay property, sales, and income tax? If you answered yes to any of those then you are paying for someone else's "problems". You are paying for someone else's education, healthcare, and welfare. I would suggest you learn to live with that. It's not going to change.
