these days better to just not get involved in trying to help someone. The father beat the man without asking and then named him by name and place of employment on face book , when the man was only trying to help a lost child confirmed by police. The father refuses to apologize...

I'm not sure picking up a lost child and walking around asking her if each adult is her parent is the best of ideas but it looks like he was trying to help.

I would have asked the child to stay in place or sit down then notify police by phone.

The father better reconsider his refusal to apologize, not only does he owe the apology, but the guy has time to still ask that he be charged with assault. Of course, this probably wouldn't have happened had he, or whoever else was with him, been properly watching the child.

I am sure this "parent" of the lost child is a deadbeat dad, probably trying to cover up for the fact he wasnt watching a two year old child . Who the hell just lets a two year old wander off.

Nobody just lets a child wander off on purpose. It happens to most parents. That said, this man should apologize to the nice person who found his kid and was trying to help her find her father.

This is why we can't have nice things.

And child neglect.

This is what social media has become - a virtual lynch mob.

I loathe these witch hunts and the morons engaging in them.

Just think, the child has to live with that poor excuse of a human being, her father.

The guy who was trying to help who was beaten said he can understand a father reacting that way because he himself is a father, and will not be pressing charges. However, because of the FB smearing, he and his family have now fled their home due to threats.

He said he just wants an apology from the father and his life back. His wife is very upset, and he cannot return to work.

This is getting national attention now, so hopefully he'll get some help.
