I'm so sick of women claiming gender bias. And I'm a woman! I was in the military for 8 yrs and a car salesman them mgr, then gen mgr of new car dealerships for 12 yrs and was never discriminated against. In all but extremely rare cases, the gender and race cards are a crock.
Read the source of your article and she did not say that or use race and/or gender to deflect criticism.
Even the Fox article quoted her correctly in that when asked if race or gender was a factor she said "I don't know."
Not sure how that can be construed to be using race and gender as a deflection from criticism. But I guess Fox can and you all will believe everything they say.
Rice was very vague in the interview (a link of which is included in the Fox article, people, you should read the source of your articles before forming your opinions, oftentimes those sources are from a vastly different perspective from the article and it would serve to provide you more information about the topic at hand, just a friendly reminder).
FYI - Rice also was quoted in the source interview as having stated the following:
