It must be a real bummer when your own party is so fractured that, even when you have the majority all over the place, you can't get them all lined up. So much for party over country. Betcha mcconnell will be crying like john boehner pretty soon.

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's public warning that Republicans might have to reach across the aisle if they can’t craft a workable health care bill came as an abrupt shift in rhetoric from the past two months, when the Kentucky Republican repeatedly noted that drafting the health care bill was up to the GOP. So? This is their job. This is what we pay a hefty burden to support. They better get to work, and they better work their asses off, because Americans are clearly fed up with their circus freak show.

It is very difficult reaching across the aisle when you have small hands. That should be obvious.

Trumps actions and statements make this virtually impossible. You can't insult people non stop, and make the government agencies refuse to respond to their inquiries, and then say "hey we could use your help here". The conditions the Democrats set would be punishing.

Very interesting.

I don't see any Ds compromising on the medicaid expansion, so I wonder where the opportunities lie.

It's what they're supposed to do. Bipartisanship was the only way they were able to pass a budget earlier this year.

It's supposed to be country over party!!!

I think it's great that the Pubs aren't voting lock step, like the Dems always do. Such herd think got us ACA which is an abomination and a total failure. It has screwed more people than it helped, which is an indefensible fact.

Interesting how liberals are so fascinated with the idea of punishing people... A recurring theme with you guys.
