You should really read the links before posting them...Both confirm what I posted...China is #1 in both.
From your links... Wind power as of 2016..China 168,690 MW....USA 82,183 MW......The USA lead ended in 2009.
As of December 2016, China has the world's largest stock of highway legal light-duty plug-in electric vehicles with cumulative sales of more than 645,000 plug-in electric passenger cars.[1][6] Among country markets, the United States ranks second with more than 570,000 plug-in electric cars sold through December 2016. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electr...since_2011.png
Trump Wants Energy Dominance in Global Market
Given the recent climate change discussion, what can we expect here?
Cheap energy is the bedrock of any modern society and it's economy because it affects the cost of everything. No other country has these resources especially if you consider it on a per capita basis, the only country that comes close is Russia. It's a giant economic hammer and Trump is going to use it. It's particularly important in energy intensive industries like concrete and steel, lower energy prices will reduce the cost of both and you can build a lot more.
My only concern is the drive for exports, while this will benefit fossil companies and their workers I'm not so sure that is a benefit for the country as a whole. My opinion has always been that any raw resource leaving this country should have an export tax. We should be selling refined products to the world, not raw resources.
