He sounded too much like Martin from recently cancelled Downward Dog. It was a little too slow for my taste. I prefer along the lines of Jon Stewart.

Liberals praise Bush? I have never heard a liberal "praise" Bush. Not as president, anyway. As a man, I think he's probably far more decent and more honorable than Trump, though.

No, what you're misinterpreting as "praise" is simply recognition of different degrees of ego, incompetence, lack of knowledge, and dishonesty. Trump trumps Bush in all the aforementioned. I didn't like Bush as president because I though he was a warmonger and made rash, knee-jerk decisions with long-term negative repercussions (which the West is living through now). But compared to Trump, the Bush years now seem downright quaint.

Everything's relative.

Liberals dehumanize and degrade anyone who doesn't have a (D) after their name. Which is odd, the left produces most of the truly awful people I've encountered in my lifetime.

You're now showing your own ridiculous bias and myopia. There are just as many "truly awful people" on the right as there are on the left. Believe it or not, political ideologies do NOT make the person.

I really wish more Americans would learn that, and then maybe this country wouldn't be so dangerously fractured. Perhaps Americans wouldn't be at each other's throats, while the rest of the world either watches the endless American infighting with bafflement and horror, or sits back to watch it with a mixture of amusement and glee.

America, Drama Queen of the World Stage.
