As terrible a human being as I think Trump is, and as bad a presidency as I thought he'd have, I completely underestimated his sheer level of incompetence and capacity for self-sabotage. The guy is the personification of a dumpster fire within a tire fire within a nuclear meltdown. That's really the only thing preventing things from going further.

Fascism | Rise of Fascism | Life in a Fascist Regime

In the 1920s and 30s a new party emerged: the National Socialist Workers’ Party became powerful. By 1933 the Nazis were the strongest party in Germany. Their leader, Adolf Hitler, dissolved parliament, took over power and made Germany a fascist state. In the following years he built up a strong police force and the largest army in Europe.

Hitler was called the Fuehrer. He claimed that the German people were better, stronger and more intelligent than any other people. Other groups, especially Jews and Romanies were considered to be inferior. Hitler believed that Germany could survive only if it got rid of these weak people. In the course of the war the Nazis killed over 6 million Jews and invaded most countries in Europe. When Germany was defeated in 1945 the fascist government fell apart.
.

I've underlined what Hitler did in his leadership of Germany, and there's a lot of common trending actions/preaching/rallies/Tweets by Trump today that expose his agenda to just what Hitler did back then!! And YES, Hitler was a FASCIST.. Of course it is a WELL KNOWN fact that Trump's nighttime reading had Hitler reading material at his bedside~~

He thought he could walk in and do what he wanted. Fortunately we have a system of government that corals executive power.

This whole criticizing the right drives people to the right is a canard. Because if it were true, it could work the other way was well, with people criticizing the left (happens all the time here) driving people to the left.

I have to admit that the right wing posters constant bashing of 'libruls' isn't warming me up to their side......
